Advancing in CyberDunk

Every good game must follow some rules if it wants to succeed. One of them is the possibility of new players to advance quickly. If advancing is too slow, new players will move away to other games.

In CyberDunk (www.cyberdunk.com), this aspect has been taken into account. I have been playing for a week, and I have raised some skills with training and, what has been more impacting, I've raised several skills a lot buying shoes and accessories. I only hope this will help me soon to be more important in my team. We have 4 shooting guards (mine included) and it is being very difficult to get minutes and show my potential. If you want to see my progress, look for Phrunks Carter in the team Tel Aviv-Yafo Cheetas.

These are my skills right now:

Floor Shooting:23 (+3)
Inside Shooting:22 (+5)
3PT Shooting:20
Dribbling:22
Passing:14
Stealing:15
Rebounding:14
Blocking:23 (+5)
Strength:18
Speed:19
Jumping:20
-----------------
Confidence:20 (+5)
Stamina:19 (+5)

I almost forgot it... I have discovered that using cyberpoints in early stages to get money is very useful: I have changed 40 CBPs for 1000 $. I suspect that when my player earns a lot of money this won't be so necessary, but now I will use it to boost my player as much as I can.

GoalUnited

The second game is already a classic, although it only has a few months: GoalUnited. Its quality is guaranteed by the creators, which are the same of Ogame.

It is a football/soccer game. Yes, I know, there are thousands of games like this around Internet, but, don't close the page!!!! There are some aspects that make this game different from the others, and better... First, the interface: you don't have the sense of being playing a webgame, but a traditional PC game.

Second, there are many options that can be controlled: a good tactics system, a good transfer market, a wide team management, training, etc.

Third: the match can be viewed live online, although it is only text style.

In summary, it is not very far from the venerated Football Manager, except for the 2D match view.

CyberDunk

I will open games reviews with the last game I've discovered: CyberDunk (www.cyberdunk.com). In their web, they describe it as "a BASKETBALL BROWSER-BASED MMORPG. You can train a player or an entire team of human players, or both."

Mmmm, not a great description... but it works. Anyway, I'm gonna detail a little bit the player creation process, son you can make a better idea.

First, you must create a player and select his position (from the standard 5). Then, stats are created randomly, according to the position (height, weight, shooting, jump, dribling, etc.) and you have your brand-new player.

Next thing you have to do is enter into a draft, selecting your favourite countries by ranking. After that, you are assigned the best possible team that needs a player with your characteristics (now they have more than 70,000 players, so it will surely be a low division team).

Last, you begin your game, and can make things as: train your player, select your player tactics, buy equipment to improve your stats, bet in games, participate in 1on1 challenges, etc.

But if this is not enough for you, it is possible to manage a team. Well, I don´t know how it works, because I don't have one yet. But I hope to get there soon.

This is the first player I've created:

Phrunks Carter
Height:
1.89 m (6 feet 2 in)
Weight:
91 kg (201 lbs)
Position:
Shooting Guard (SG)
Team:
Tel Aviv-Yafo Cheetas
League:
Division 3
Value:
17

In summary, a good game that will not take too much time. Highly recommended!!!

Anybody there?

Hi!

I've been playing online webgames for several years. Of course, I've had some ups and downs: too much work, a doughter, some illness... But I always get back to spend around one hour every day with webgames.

This is my first blog, and I don't know if I will be able to put an entry every day, but I will try to review the best games I've been playing, and show you my advances on them... if they are worth it.

By the way, some times I will make some comments on my favourite sports (football/soccer, basketball, tennis, motorbikes, F1 races...). You can skip them freely.

Greetings!!!
